An IT consultancy built around what survives contact with production.
DigitalSon is a small, deliberate practice. We do integration, infrastructure, automation, and technology enablement, AI-friendly where it fits, for organizations whose work is too consequential to bolt the latest thing on and hope for the best.
What we are, and what we’re not.
We’re small on purpose. Engagements get senior attention from start to finish, not a sales engineer up front and a junior on the bench.
Senior-led
The person scoping your engagement is the person doing the work. No bait-and-switch on staffing.
Tool-agnostic
We have partnerships where they make sense, but we don’t sell licenses. The right tool depends on your stack and stakes, not our incentives.
Documented
If we built it, you get the runbook. The goal is your team running it confidently, not a permanent dependency on us.
Phased
Discovery first, with a written take and a phased plan. You decide what to build, in what order, and what to skip.
Five principles that show up in every engagement.
These aren’t marketing values. They’re what we’ve found actually holds up across two decades of building this kind of thing.
Pragmatic
Most clients don’t need new tools, they need the ones they have to work together. We start by integrating, not replacing.
Traceable
Logs, lineage, and versioning aren’t bolted on at the end. They’re how we build, so you can trust what the system did, and so can your auditors.
Reproducible
Run it again, get the same answer. Determinism where it’s required, bounded variability where it isn’t. Either way, explainable.
Restrained
If a SQL query, a rule, or a webhook does the job, we use that. Models earn their place. We don’t bolt them on as theater.
Honest
If your problem isn’t a fit for us, or if a project doesn’t need to happen, we’ll say so. The short-term cost is a referral; the long-term gain is a relationship.
Platforms we know cold
We’re tool-agnostic by default, but these are platforms we partner with formally, run in production, and have opinions about.
Practice management for law firms, integrated cleanly with billing, document, and intake systems.
On-prem and hybrid storage with retention, snapshots, and replication. Backups that actually get tested.
Jira & Confluence as operational substrate, ticketing, runbooks, and documentation teams will use.
Identity, mail, files, and Teams as a foundation, secured and integrated with the rest of the stack.
Curious if we’re a fit?
A 30-minute call is usually enough for both sides to know. No pitch deck, no scripted demo, just your friction and our take on it.
